Cologne Music Week: Gianni Brezzo

Out of his echo chamber, the producer Marvin Horsch re-emerges with his project "Gianni Brezzo" to present "New Magic". An atmospheric album, which was recorded together with musician from the Cologne jazz scene within three days at the "Electric Island Studios". Although many songs have compley arrangements than other releases before, everything ist kept very raw and spontaneous, often using the first takes of the songs. On this recording Gianni Brezzo tried different techniques of composing, where most oh his ideas where developed in a stream of consciouesness, thus resulting in songs that came into existence less than a couple of weeks before the recording session. Carefully picked moods, unpretentious musicianship and an impeccable feel for musicak idioms, make this album a mindful resort, urgently by modern man.
