Authenticity, energy and passion - this is how the Cologne-based a capella choir d'acCHORd has been inspiring and touching its audiences since 2013, making every concert experience something special. Their varied repertoire of pop and rock music interprets a variety of popular works as well as lesser-known pieces from genres outside the mainstream. These include songs by Sia, Muse or Von wegen Lisbeth. They also like to try new and unusual arrangements penned by their choir director Niklas Genschel.
After their last annual concert in 2020, d'acCHORd dedicated themselves to two major video projects during the concertless pandemic: on the one hand, they created "Particles", a music video about the changed interpersonal communication through Corona, in collaboration with Cologne-based director Sylvia Borges and dancer Freddy Houndekindo from France; on the other hand, they created a touching interpretation of the hip-hop track "Grauer Beton" about disappointed hope and hopelessness in the time before the fall of the Berlin Wall.
With these and other new songs d'aCHORd finally returns to the stage!
