Iva Bittova & Vladimir Václavek

Iva Bittová is a remarkable Czech violinist and singer. Her musical style is inspired by elements of jazz and folk as well as classical and opera. Using experimental music as a base, she has developed her own unique style with these diverse influences.

Together with guitarist, lyricist and composer Vladimir Vaclavek she released the album "bile Inferno" back in 1997. The album is characterized by its powerful and emotional pieces, which are carried mainly by the virtuoso handling of the two musicians:inside with their instruments and voices. In the Stadtgarten they now revive their program, which was released 26 years ago.

Along with Iva Bittová and Pavel Fajt, Vladimir Vaclavek was one of the creators of the "Brno Alternative", which together with the underground formed a counterpoint to the official rock scene from the mid-1980s.

The concert is part of the Europe Jazz Network's "EJN Green Pilot Tour" project, which promotes sustainable and environmentally responsible touring and organizing.
