Jazz at JAKI: Denis Gäbel / Martin Sasse

The Cologne saxophonist Denis Gäbel invites some of his favorite musicians to JAKI this evening to celebrate songs of the American Songbok. Martin Sasse has collaborated with nearly all the legends in international jazz during the course of his stage career, and has long been considered one of the preeminent jazz pianist:in Europe himself. Double bassist Stefan Rey can be heard regularly with the WDR Big Band as well as a permanent member of the Jerry Lu Trio. Dominik Raab on drums stands for a big swinging sound and recently released his debut as bandleader "Choose Loose". Gäbel himself recently became part of the hr-Bigband and released two new albums as bandleader in 2022 with "The Mingus Sessions" and "The Good Spirits Part 2".
