Following his CD release Time Remembered - standards and other songs with mainly standards from the Great American Songbook, which was celebrated by the press and public alike, Cologne guitarist Martin Schulte is now presenting another album with exclusively his own compositions. And for this he has put together a dream band, strong characters and some of the most renowned players on the German scene, who feed the bandleader's music with their inexhaustible energetic creativity, making the pieces sound like a true collective effort.

Niels Klein, known for numerous projects as a saxophonist and composer, has known Schulte since he moved to Cologne. Matthias Akeo Nowak, one of Germany's most sought-after bassists, has already played on two CD productions by Martin Schulte's former quartet, with whom the two also played a large number of concerts.Jens Düppe, who in addition to his numerous sideman projects is also an extremely busy composer and bandleader, could already be heard on the last trio record. The quintet's music pulsates, swings, rocks, bubbles and literally explodes with energy, while in the next moment it flows lightly and airily, creating its very own modern sound that is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition.
