Jazz at JAKI: Moritz Preisler Trio

The trio led by Cologne pianist Moritz Preisler has been working together since 2017. The starting point is the compositions of the band's namesake, which are developed, edited and arranged collectively. The result is an idiosyncratic, bizarrely beautiful sound art that can only really be grasped when heard live at the moment of its creation. The debut album Raureif was released in 2022 by Klaeng Records and was highly praised by the press.
