Jazz@JAKI feat: Denis Gäbel Quartett // Special Guest: Frederik Köster

Denis Gäbel is an outstanding designer, a passionate jazz musician; cool, carefree, with rich and impulsive compositions. For his current album he was drawn to what is probably the most legendary melting pot of jazz: New York. Here he produced The Good Spirits (Mons Records) in summer 2017 together with the American greats Kevin Hays, Scott Colley and Clarence Penn. "An Early Candidate for the Best List 2018" writes the jazz podium and promptly prints Gäbel on the cover of the magazine for publication. The American magazine Downbeat compares his sound with that of Sonny Rollins and speaks of a cool, carefree style and rich and impulsive compositions. Jazzthing attests the album world class level.
The first-class pianist Sebastian Sternal has twice been awarded Echo-Jazz and turns every improvisation into a little masterpiece. As one of the most distinguished jazz bassists in Europe, Joscha Oetz is a permanent member of Frederik Köster's quartet. Drummer Silvio Morger has already demonstrated his skills with artists such as David Binney, Donny McCaslin, Ack van Rooyen and Nils Wogram.
