Downbeat Poll-winning ensemble "Mostly Other People Do the Killing" returns to Stadtgarten to celebrate the release of their new recording, "Disasters Vol. 1". Award-winning composer and bassist, Moppa Elliott has written a cycle of compositions based on disasters in his home state of Pennsylvania and their aftermath. Recorded during the height of the 2020 pandemic in NYC, the music is fun, boisterous, thought-provoking, and timely. Pianist Ron Stabinsky (Meat Puppets, Peter Evans Quartet) and drummer Kevin Shea (Talibam!, Storm and Stress) join Elliott for an adventurous performance of the "Disaster Songs" as well as jazz standards, pop songs, and the soundtrack to our currently chaotic lives.
