Since January, the four NICA Artists Elisabeth Coudoux, Pablo Giw, Pablo Held and Tamara Lukasheva have regularly presented musical ideas, visions, cooperations or discoveries under their names in the monthly concert series "NICA presents". We are very happy to continue the series as "NICA live" in the new open-air concert space GREEN ROOM in the back part of the outdoor restaurant of the Stadtgarten (the former "Al Bosco"). This evening will be curated by NICA Artist Pablo Giw.

Claudio Puntin:
Claudio Puntin is a soloist, improviser and composer of versatile musical origin. Currently he is engaged in the control of various analog and digital sound circuits by the clarinet. He has developed soundscapes of irregular grooves influenced by quantum philosophy. At the same time, he is researching a new orchestral order with a symmetrical chorus sound, which is based on studio mixes and remixes and turns the conventional chronology of symphonic music production upside down. Thus, an opera is being worked on together with the lyricist Rike Scheffler. His clarinet playing is lyrically influenced by the classical tradition and by subtle instrumental culture, rhythmically imbued by jazz, sonically expanded by electronic music, choral and chamber music of empathic and harmonic instinct and worldwide folk music close to the people. He prefers to share art, handicraft, culinary, philosophy, music and nature, the rest comes from outside. In the current situation of blocked human empathy by coronal decisions, where homework and composing differ in financing, he tries to stay happy by exchanging concerts by nature. This sometimes succeeds.

Rebekka Salomea & Pablo Giw:
The electronic and the organic in combination, air that turns into melancholy and then into a slow beat. The Cologne singer Rebekka Salomea, known with her experimental HipHop band SALOMEA and the NICA Artist in Residence Pablo Giw will play their debut as a duo in concert.
