NICA live: Half Easy Trio feat. Tamara Lukasheva

For his band Half Easy Trio, Bulgarian drummer and percussionist Martin Hafizi writes music that unites different styles and genres. Formed in Rotterdam in 2018, the band's sound has since been shaped by references to classical music, contemporary jazz, Bulgarian folklore and the search for rich textures, beauty, energy, power and drama. " [...] the trio demands full attention and dedication to the music, rejecting any kind of superficiality," said the Dutch jazz magazine JazzFlits.

In October 2019, the band released their highly acclaimed debut album "Dark is Bright" on Optomusic. The second album "One Step Back, Two Steps Forward" was released in May this year and featured Ukrainian singer Tamara Lukasheva - NICA artist 2019 - at whose invitation the band will now be joined by her as part of the "NICA live" concert series at the Green Room.
