In 2017, Sarah opened in Paris for Jarvis Cocker and Chilly Gonzales, who were promoting their album Room 29. Chilly Gonzales, a virtuoso pianist known for his solo piano album trilogy and collaborations with artists such as Drake and Daft Punk, was impressed by her performance and spontaneously invited her to the studio of his frequent collaborator Renaud Letang (Manu Chao, Seu Jorge), with whom they have worked on records for Feist, Jane Birkin, Jamie Lidell and others. The chance meeting led to a record deal with Blue Note and Sarah moved to Paris.

In 2021, Sarah emerged from lockdown with new songs, new sounds and a band: In addition to the piano and voice her audiences have come to love, Sarah now brings synthesizers, a drum machine and a loop station to the show.

Sarah McCoy, who in a few years has established herself as one of the most flamboyant figures in contemporary music, is back with SORRY FOR YOU, taken from her new album HIGH PRIESTESS, released January 27, 2023. Recorded with producer Renaud Letang (Feist, Keren Ann, Charlotte Gainsbourg...) and under the benevolent wing of Chilly Gonzales, these new tracks mark a turning point for the accomplished singer and pianist , whose powerful voice has painful cracks.
