Songlines mit Madsius Ovanda
Songlines goes in search of honest, great pop music - always with the urge to discover something new. In the GREEN ROOM, amidst green bushes and under large trees, the Stadtgarten team presents this summer artists* who make every Friday something special.
What can we be for each other? Why are we here and what are we doing here anyway? Madsius Ovanda addresses fundamental questions in an expressive voice. Madsius Ovanda is the Indie-RnB / Dream-Pop-Band around Pia Ovanda and Carina Madsius.
The music is inspired by the complexity of Little Dragon, James Blake or Tame Impala, but always remains rooted in a pop attitude reminiscent of Jorja Smith or Maggie Rogers: playful choirs interweave with ecstatic beats and vibey hooks, analog synthesizer pads and pulsating bass lines give the songs bright colors. Thus they are unique and intense - with a mind-expanding foundation.
The album "Talking Underwater" strives for great arcs and harmony and is carried by dedication - to art, to a mission, to another person: "We exchange and we mirror each other". Madsius Ovanda send comforting, clear musical messages into a complicated and demanding world. This is touching and moving.
