SPEAK LIKE A CHILD: Norbert Stein im Gespräch mit Michael Rüsenberg

Our new series with talks about music and everything that moves us around it: The music journalist, author and sound artist Michael Rüsenberg invites jazz greats to an interesting exchange.

The title of the series, "Speak like a Child", goes back to the title track of the legendary Herbie Hancock album from 1968 and is a reference to the basic musical colour of the Stadtgarten. A forum with which we want to create a platform to talk about music in an open, unbiased and nuanced way - like Hancock's arrangement.
So Rüsenberg's guests, whether current innovators like Darcy James Argue, Julia Hülsmann, Nils Wogram or historical jazz greats like Manfred Schoof or Gunter Hampel - or in this issue Norbert Stein - should also be prepared to leave their own neighborhood and use the headroom the title "Speak like a Child" gives them.
