They have landed! Since the 1950s, the musicians:inside collective around the Afrofuturistic prophet Sun Ra has been proclaiming its cosmic message by means of eccentric performances and countless recordings. The high priest himself left the experimental musicians' ark for Saturn as early as 1993, but from there he keeps his vision alive in direct contact with bandleader Marshall Allen, and not too barely. With ninety-seven years of life on planet Earth, Allen energetically meanders the eleven-piece space orchestra from big band swing to psychedelic rock to free jazz; carried by a strong sax section, Tara Middleton's distinct vocals and a lush handful of retro electronic sounds.

Whether Sodom and Gomorrah, party with angels and devils, interstellar worship of God - however you can describe the lovingly bizarre stage behavior of this almost sixty-year-old religious community in dazzling costumes, one thing is certain: It's best to travel together in a spaceship. So, antennas on reception and back to the future!
