Talking Kaput #12: Liser & Jens Peters (Future Of Battlerap)

A debating club of swear words and hate speech as a sport? Hardly any form of hip hop has developed and gained popularity in the last years as much as the phenomenon "Battlerap". Two people face each other in order to insult each other in the best possible way. It's a round-based carnival of indignities - but also an interesting discourse space where taboos are broken and negotiated. In Cologne, the "Future Of Battlerap" platform is making a name for itself with high-profile events. Jens Peters will be able to tell a few things about it at our talk. The Cologne rapper Liser will also be there. Last year she released, among other things, the EP "Anti-Capitalist Party Banger". She has often mixed up the art of battlerap on (and off) stage.
