The trio The Choir Invisible, consisting of three important figures from Brooklyn's creative music scene - Charlotte Greve (Lisbeth Quartet, Wood River), Chris Tordini (Tyshawn Sorey, Chris Speed) and Vinnie Sperrazza (EMBER, Michael Formanek) - recently released their long-awaited second album on Intakt Records. On Town of Two Faces, they continue to develop their unique language without a harmony instrument into a lively and subtle dialog. With all three band members contributing compositions, the emotional and textural content of their music is wide-ranging, while improvisation and melody always remain rooted in a deep groove. A working band since 2018, and a perfectly attuned collective.
