In cooperation with TelevisorTroika we will show the premiere of the documentary film "The Sound of Cologne" (DE 2022 - 98' - English/German with English subtitles). The director Kristina Schippling and some of the protagonists of the film will be present.

Time travel to the heartland of electronic music: A journey through the history of electronic music from Cologne - from the 50s until today. The film follows the roots of the invention of new music from the Electronic Studio of the WDR, Stockhausen, CAN, Kompakt, A-Musik to the lively and diverse club scene of today.

With artists:inside like Irmin Schmidt, Jaki Liebezeit and Holger Czukay from CAN, Mouse on Mars, Gregor Schwellenbach, Niobe, Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer, Barnt, Lena Willickens, Fr. Reichert - a mesmerizing portrait of a city where everyone is somehow connected: Direct lines of inspiration can be drawn over several decades and different music scenes are indeed closely connected through influential clubs, labels and record stores.
