The Cologne-based Viola Klein not only releases great sound sculptures on the Meakusma or Workshop label, she also loves to experiment with music in clubs as if she were in her own living room. When she plays, the spiritual and the physical come together. She appreciates the intimate and public dialogue with the audience and her DJ partners. It is this symbiosis that allows something completely new to emerge in one night, and this approach to DJing probably also explains her fascination with jazz music. Jaki residents Keshav and Hermes will be part of this symbiosis this evening, complementing Violas' shifted house grooves with some jazz-funk, afrobeat and psychedelic synth records.
