No one currently embodies the principle of improvisation as an attitude as consistently as the Berlin violinist Maria Reich and the Cologne singer (and NICA scholarship holder) Laura Totenhagen. Also, and precisely because both move in the borderland between jazz, neo-classical, pop and performance art, and by no means disregard lyricism and feminist activism, they are among the most striking improvisation artists of our time. Reich and Totenhagen will join French pianist and composer Eve Risser on an acoustic journey between composed and "instant composing." In cooperation with the A L'ARME Festival Berlin.
